| Clinical Efficacy Observation of PFNA Combined with PFN Internal Fixation in the treatment of Intertrochanteric Fractures in the elderly |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy observation of PFNA combined with PFN internal fixation in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly and its effect on VAS scores. Methods: 76 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to January 2018 were randomly divided into study group and control group. The control group was treated with PFN internal fixation, while the study group was treated with PFNA internal fixation on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, complications, hip function scores and VAS scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results: The clinical treatment effect of the study group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the postoperative complications of the study group were less than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in hip function scores between the two groups before surgery (P>0.05). The postoperative hip function score was higher in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups before surgery (P>0.05). The postoperative VAS score was lower in the study group than in the control group. (P<0.05). Conclusion: In the course of clinical treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur, the combination of PFNA internal fixation has better clinical effect, less pain and lower VAS score. It has a very positive role in improving the quality of life of elderly patients. It should be further applied and promoted in clinical treatment.
