Abstract Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of glucocorticoid therapy on mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children. Methods: A total of 100 children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia were enrolled from January 2016 to December 2016 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given routine treatment. The patients in the experimental group were treated with glucocorticoid therapy, The clinical indexes, drug side effects, lung function, inflammatory index, markedly effective rate and total effective rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The time of fever, cough remission, X-ray recovery time, rales disappearance and hospitalization time were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group. After treatment, FEF50, FEF75 and FEF25-75 were significantly The levels of IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, CRP, ESR, TNF-α and INF-γ were significantly lower than those of the control group In the control group, there was significant difference (P <0.01). Conclusion: Glucocorticoid therapy is effective in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae lobular pneumonia in children.
