The Significance of Dynamic Monitoring of the Changes of Cerebrospinal Fluid ADA for the Prognosis of Tuberculous Meningitis |

Abstract Objective: To analyze the clinical significance of the relationship between the dynamic changes of cerebrospinal fluid adenosine deaminase and tuberculous meningitis disease outcome. Methods: 51 patients with tuberculous meningitis with drug treatment of cerebrospinal fluid were dynamicly tested, and statistical comparison of different outcomes before patients and cerebrospinal fluid ADA levels at different time points after treatment. Results: In 51 patients, 44 cases (86.27%) were cured, 2 cases (3.92%) died. Cure treatment group from 1 week, CSF ADA levels gradually decline, down to 4.1U / L, adverse outcome cerebrospinal fluid ADA levels decreased slightly after treatment to 6 weeks of treatment, increased to 23.6U / L at 4 weeks of treatment, treatment It remained at a high 25.1U / L level at 6 weeks. From 4 weeks onwards, ADA levels were significantly lower than cure poor outcome group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Detection of ADA in cerebrospinal fluid is conducive to the early diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis, the dynamic changes of cerebrospinal fluid levels of ADA to prompt the condition changes, the prediction of disease prognosis and tuberculous meningitis in guiding clinical treatment has an important reference value.
