| Expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma and its Correlation with Clinicopathological Features |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and the relationship with the pathological features. Methods: Immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR were adopted to detect the expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in 60 cases of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and 32 cases of para-carcinoma tissue. Results: The expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma were significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissue (P<0.01). In laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, the expressions of PTTG and VEGF-C were associated with differentiation, Lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (P<0.01). Conclusion: PTTG and VEGF-C might play an important role in the development of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. PTTG and VEGF-C might be prognostic factor of lymph node metastasis
