Analysis of the Relationship between Ultrasound Blood Flow Parameters and Clinical Pathology and Ultrasound TI-RADS Grading of Papillary Thyroid Cancer |

Abstract Objective: To analyze the relationship between ultrasound blood flow parameters and clinical pathology and ultrasound TI-RADS grading of papillary thyroid cancer. Methods: A total of 103 patients with papillary thyroid cancer diagnosed in our hospital from October 2020 to November 2023 were enrolled in the study. All subjects underwent ultrasound examination to obtain blood flow parameters and B-ultrasound TI-RADS grading. The blood flow parameters of patients with different pathological features and TI-RADS grades were compared, and the correlation between ultrasound blood flow parameters and papillary thyroid cancer pathology and TI-RADS grading was analyzed. Results: The pulsatility index (PI), resistance index (RI), and peak systolic velocity to peak diastolic velocity ratio (S/D) in patients with stages Ⅲ~Ⅳ were higher than those in patients with stages Ⅰ~Ⅱ (P<0.05); The PI, RI, and S/D in patients with cervical lymph node metastasis were significantly higher than those in patients without metastasis (P<0.05); The PI, RI, and S/D in patients with TI-RADS grades 5-6 were higher than those in patients with grades 4a-4c (P<0.05). Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that PI, RI, and S/D were positively correlated with TNM stage and TI-RADS grading in patients with papillary thyroid cancer (rTNM stage=0.401, 0.453, 0.462; rTI-RADS grading=0.308, 0.376, 0.368, P<0.05). Conclusion: Ultrasound blood flow parameters PI, RI, and S/D are closely related to tumor staging and TI-RADS grading in patients with papillary thyroid cancer. Early measurement of ultrasound blood flow quantitative parameters can provide certain reference information for the clinical diagnosis and prediction of papillary thyroid cancer.
