Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical effect, cognitive function and prognosis of patients with chronic renal failure treated by hybrid blood purification. Methods: 128 cases of elderly patients with chronic renal failure adapted blood purification treatment from July 2014 to July 2015 as the research object, according to the different dialysis, the patients divided into two groups, each group with 64 cases, control group only used dialytic treatments, while observation group used the type hybrid blood purification treatment, compared the clinical effect and prognosis of the two groups. Results: The levels of siderophilin, hemoglobin, serum albumin, serum prealbumin of observation group after treatment were higher than the control group (P < 0.05). The total score of cognitive function of observation group after treatment was better than that of control group (P < 0.05); The somatic pain, emotional functions, social functions, overall health score of observation group after treatment was better than that of control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Hybrid blood purification treatment can ameliorate the symptoms of malnutrition in elderly patients with chronic renal failure, improve their cognitive function, their quality of life and have good prognosis.
