Abstract Objective: Objective: To observe the effect of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)on cardiac function of elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus.Methods: The elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus were divided into two groups, PCI group and control group. The patients were given anti-neurohormone drug and then were followed up 6 months. The heart function and changes of ventricular remodeling were compared in statistical aspect between two groups. Results: The improvement of heart function and change of ventricular remodeling were significantly different in statics between two groups. Conclusion: PCI can significantly improve heart function and inhibit ventricular remodelling of the elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus.
