Clinical Observation of Tea Polyphenols and Vitaminc Intervention on |Patients with Hyperuricemia and Dyslipidemia |

Abstract Objective: A randomized-placebo double blind trial was performed to study the influence of tea polyphenols (TP) and vitamin C (VC) on patients with hyperuricemia and dyslipidemia. Methods: 101 male patients with hyperuricemia with abnormal lipid metabolism were selected as the research object. All the patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, and the observation group was given TP 300 mg/d VC 250 mg/d, the control group was given placebo. Determination and comparison of the general clinical data of intervention(Age, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP)], metabolic index metabolic index of serum uric acid (UA), total cholesterol (TC), glycerin three greases (TG), high density lipoprotein protein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), blood glucose (FBG), high sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and the antioxidant index antioxidant index (MDA), glutathione malondialdehyde (GSH), serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) changes. Results: Before treatment, two groups of patients with clinical data, differences between indices and antioxidant metabolism index comparison was not statistically significant (P > 0.05) ;the UA of two groups after treatment, the level of FBG decreased significantly after treatment, and patients in the control group LDL-C level was significantly decreased, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Between the two groups, the control group of patients with UA, TC, hs-CRP index level difference was statistically significant with P<0.05). Two groups of patients with MDA index decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05.SOD). GSH index was significantly higher than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Comparison between groups, serum MDA level of observation group compared with the control group decreased significantly (P<0.05); serum SOD and GSH levels had no statistical comparison significance (P > 0.05). Conclusion: In patients with hyperuricemia and dyslipidemia, the combined supplementation of tea polyphenols and vitamin C can significantly reduce serum uric acid and blood lipid levels. And it can improve the body antioxidant index, is a reliable means of intervention prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia.
