Abstract Objective: To investigate the effects of tiotropium combined with respiratory exercises on pulmonary ventilation function, quality of life and exercise tolerance in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: 80 patients with COPD enrolled from July 2015 to December 2016 were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in the control group were treated with tiotropiumamine. The patients in the experimental group were treated with respiratory exercises and compared the patients before and after treatment lung function, exercise endurance, dyspnea, quality of life and poor clinical events. Results: Compared with the control group, the levels of FVC, FEV1, FEV1 / FVC, FEV1, MMEF and PEF were significantly higher in the experimental group than those in the control group. Compared with the control group, the 6MWD levels were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05) .Conclusion: Compared with the control group, there was significant difference in the incidence of overall adverse clinical events between the two groups (P> 0.05). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05) P <0.01). Conclusion: The effect of tiotropium combined with respiratory exercises on lung ventilation function, quality of life and exercise tolerance of patients with COPD is significant and safe, which is of great significance.
