Effect of Xiyanping Injection Combined with Aminophylline on Blood Gas Index and Serum TNF-α, IL-8 and IL-10 Levels of Patients with Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the effect of Xiyanping injection combined with aminophylline (Ami) on the blood gas index and serum levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-8 and IL-10 of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (AECB). Methods: 142 cases of AECB patients admitted in our hospital from April 2015 to April 2017 were selected. According to simple random method, those patients were divided into two groups. The control group was treated with Ami while the observation group was given the combination of Ami and Xiyanping injection. The changes of blood gas indexes, serum TNF-α, IL-8, IL-10 levels before and after treatment, clinical effect as well as the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the value of PaO2 was significantly increased, and the PaCO2 value decreased significantly (P< 0.01), the PaO2 in observation group was higher than that in the control group, and PaCO2 was less than that in the control group (P< 0.01). After treatment, TNF-α, IL-8 in the serum of the patients were significantly decreased, and the levels of IL-10 were significantly increased (P< 0.01), TNF-α, IL-8 in the observation group were less than the control group, IL-10 was higher than the control group (P< 0.01). After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was higher than the control group (P< 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion: Xiyanping injection combined with aminophylline treatment of chronic bronchitis acute episodes can rapidly improve the patients' lung function, improve clinical curative effect, to significantly reduce the level of serum TNF alpha, IL - 8 and raise the level of serum IL - 10, inhibit the body's inflammatory response and improve immune function.
