| The Effect of Local Injection of Triamcinolone Acetonide Combined with Semiconductor Laser in the Treatment of Erosive Oral Lichen Planus |

Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical effect of local injection of triamcinolone acetonide combined with semiconductor laser in the treatment of erosive oral lichen planus (EOLP). Methods: In this clinical trial, 62 patients selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups. One group received semiconductor laser therapy (300 MW, 2 times/day, 5 minutes/time) combined with local injection of triamcinolone acetonide (5mL∶ 50mg, once a week), while the control group was treated with triamcinolone acetonide alone, with the same dose and method as the experimental group. Before treatment and 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment, the clinical effects of patients with lesion size and pain were measured, recorded and statistically analyzed. Results: 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment, the lesion area and pain degree of the treatment group and the control group were significantly reduced. At 2 weeks, the average lesion and pain degree of the treatment group was less than that of the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant. At 4 weeks after treatment, the average lesion and pain degree of the treatment group were further less, and significantly less than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: The effect of triamcinolone acetonide combined with semiconductor laser in the treatment of erosive oral lichen planus is significant, which is better than that of triamcinolone acetonide alone.
