Effects of Liangxuesanyu Decoction Combined with Calcium Dobesilate in the Treatment of Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy on Clinical Efficacy, Symptom Score and VEGF |

Abstract Objective: To explore the effect of Liangxuesanyu decoction combined with calcium dobesilate in the treatment of patients with diabetic retinopathy on clinical efficacy, symptom score and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Methods: 152 patients (152 eyes) admitted to our hospital from October 2017 to December 2019 were diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy as the research object, the clinical data of all patients were retrospectively analyzed. According to the different treatment plans, the patients were divided into a control group (75 cases) and a study group (77 cases). The control group was treated with calcium dobesilate, and the research group was supplemented with Liangxuesanyu decoction. During the treatment, the patient's condition was closely observed, and the clinical efficacy, symptom score, and VEGF effect between the two groups were compared. Results: The total clinical effective rate of the control group was significantly lower than that of the study group (88.00% vs 97.40%) (P <0.05). After treatment, the macular thickness, hemorrhagic spots, hemangioma, symptom score, and visual acuity of the two groups significantly improved, and the improvement in the study group was greater than that in the control group (P <0.05). The expressions of TNF-α and VEGF in the two groups significantly reduced, and the reduction in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Liangxuesanyu decoction combined with calcium dobesilate in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy has a good clinical effect, which can effectively alleviate the change of the disease and improve the severity of symptoms, and it is worthy of popularization and application in clinic.
