Study on Effect of Nerve Mobilization on Shoulder Pain in Hemiplegic Patients after Stroke |

Abstract Objective: To observe the effect of nerve mobilization of upper limb on shoulder pain in hemiplegic patients after stroke. Methods: 60 patients with hemiplegic shoulder pain after stroke were randomly divided into research group (n=30) and control group (n=30) using random number table. Compare the pain degree, shoulder joint activity, upper limb motor function and daily living ability of the two groups before and 3 months after treatment. Results: The score of NAS decreased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and was lower in the research group than in the control group (P<0.05). The score of shoulder joint activity, FMA and MBI increased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and was higher in the research group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Nerve mobilization of upper limb could further relieve the shoulder pain and muscle spasm, then improve the motor function of upper limb and ADL in patients with hemiplegia after stroke.
