Abstract Objective: To explore the effect of IPC on the prevention of DVT. Methods: 48 patients admitted to the intensive care unit due to ARDS were selected and randomly divided into two groups: control group and experimental group, the control group using drug anticoagulant prevention; experimental group given the application of IPC. The blood coagulation function of the patients was observed and the color Doppler ultrasound was used to examine the thrombosis of the lower extremities, and the preventive effect of the two groups was judged. Results: The difference between the two groups of the activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time, fibrinogen, ultrasound examination results had significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The intermittent pneumatic compression can improve the coagulation function of patients and prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis in ICU patients.
