Abstract Objective: To investigate the effects of scalp-needle interaction MOTOmed intelligent exercise training on limb motor function and levels of serum nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in patients with stroke hemiplegia. Methods: 80 patients with stroke hemiplegia were divided into control group and study group according to the simple random grouping of random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The patients were treated with conventional drug symptomatic support, and control group was given routine rehabilitation training, and study group was given scalp-needle interaction MOTOmed intelligent exercise training. The clinical efficacy, limb motor function, balance function, daily activity ability, neurotrophic factor (NGF,BDNF) and quality of life level were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, The total effective rate of treatment in study group was significantly higher than that in control group (87.50% vs 65.00%) (P<0.05). After treatment, the upper limb score and lower limb score of Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment scale (FMA), Berg balance scale (BBS) score and modified Barthel index (MBI) score in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the differences of FMA-upper limb score, FMA-lower limb score, BBS score and MBI score before and after treatment in study group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). The levels of NGF, BDNF and neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) in the two groups were significantly higher than those before intervention (P<0.05), and the differences of GF, BDNF and NT-3 before and after treatment in study group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the Stroke Speciality-Quality of Life (SS-QOL) scores in the two groups were significantly increased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the difference of SS-QOL score before and after treatment in study group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The rehabilitation treatment regimen of scalp-needle interaction MOTOmed intelligent exercise training has exact efficacy in treating patients with stroke hemiplegia. It can improve the limb motor function, balance function and daily activity function, enhance the levels of neurotrophic factors and promote the recovery of damaged nerves, thus improving the quality of life of patients.
