Abstract Objective: To analyze the effect of progesterone combined with Yunkang oral liquid on habitual abortion and its effects on transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-beta 1), endometrial antibody (EmAb), progesterone-induced blocking factor (PIBF) and anticardiolipin antibody (ACA). Methods: 86 cases of habitual abortion patients from December 2013 to December 2016 in our hospital were divided into control group and experimental group according to random number method, 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with progesterone, and the experimental group was treated with Yunkang oral liquid based on the control group. The curative effect, clinical symptom score, TGF-beta 1, EmAb, PIBF, ACA and adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups. Results: Total effective rate of experimental group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). One week and two weeks after treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms, serum EmAb and ACA levels in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment. The above indexes in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group. The levels of serum TGF-beta 1 and PIBF in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment. The above indexes in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group. The scores of clinical symptoms, TGF-beta 1, EmAb, PIBF and ACA were in the two groups. There were significant differences in different treatment methods and treatment time (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Progesterone combined with Yunkang oral liquid is better than progesterone in the treatment of habitual abortion. It can promote the expression of TGF-beta 1 and PIBF, reduce the levels of EmAb and ACA, and play a role in fetal protection.
