Clinical Significance of Detection of Parathyroid Hormone and Homocysteine in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease |

Abstract Objective: To explore the clinical significance of the detection of PTH and Hcy in patients with the chronic kidney disease. Methods: 48 patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) were divided into three groups: CKD stage 3, CKD stage 4 and CKD stage 5 according to the clinical diagnosis. PTH, Cys C, Hcy and Cr were detected in three groups, and the statistical analysis was conducted. Results: The levels of serum PTH, Cys C, Hcy and Cr in CKD stage 5 group were higher than those in CKD stage 4 and CKD stage 3 groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between CKD stage 4 group and CKD stage 3 group in serum PTH, Cys C , Hcy and Cr levels (P>0.05 ). The positive rates of PTH in CKD stage 5 group, CKD stage 4 group and CKD stage 3 group were: 70.8%, 21.4%, 20%; The positive rates of Hcy in CKD stage 5 group, CKD stage 4 group and CKD stage 3 group were: 58.3%, 7.1%, 10% . PTH,Hcy,Cr and Cys C were positively correlated(R=0.505、0.855、0.788). Conclusion: The combined detection of PTH, Hcy and other indicators is helpful for the diagnosis and judgment of CKD patients, and provides accurate guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
