Contrastive Analysis of Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound and Enhanced CT in Evaluating the Efficacy of TACE in the treatment of Primary Liver Cancer |

Abstract Objective: To comparatively analyze the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and enhanced CT in evaluating the curative effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in the treatment of primary liver cancer. Methods: 70 patients with primary liver cancer treated by TACE in the hospital from January 2015 to December 2017 were selected as the subjects. All patients were examined by contrast-enhanced ultrasound, enhanced CT and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) at 1 month after operation. With DSA as the golden standard, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and enhanced CT in evaluating the curative effect of TACE were compared. Results: DSA showed 63 residual lesions (positive) and 31 negative lesions. With DSA as the golden standard, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of residual lesions(positive) (95.24%,100.00%and 96.81%) were significantly higher than those of enhanced CT (84.13%,100.00%and 89.36%) (P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with contrast-enhanced CT, the sensitivity and accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound are significantly higher in diagnosing residual lesions after TACE for primary liver cancer. It is an effective method for evaluating the curative effect of TACE in the treatment of primary liver cancer.
