Effect of Salmeterol Combined with Montelukast Sodium on the Lung Function and serum NO ET IFN-γ Levels of Children with Bronchial Asthma |

Abstract Objective: To study the effect of salmeterol combined with montelukast sodium on the lung function, Carbon monoxide(NO), Endothelin (ET), interferon-γ(IFN-γ) levels of children with bronchial asthma. Methods: 120 patients of bronchial asthma who were treated from April 2014 to April 2015 in our hospital were selected as research objects. According to draw method,those patients were divided into salmeterol group 40 cases, 40 cases of the combined group and montelukast group in 40 cases. three groups were given routine treatment of bronchial antispasmodic, oxygen inhalation, antibiotics and glucocorticoids, aminophylline Sustained-release Tablets was given according to the situation of children. The Salmeterol group was treated with routine treatment combined with salmeterol. while the combined group was treated with Montelukast sodium combined with Salmeterol. montelukast sodium group was treated with montelukast sodium.Then the clinical effect, wheezing, wheezing, wet rales disappeared time, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, PEF, NO, ET, IFN- gamma levels were compared between two groups. Results: The total effective rate of combined group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); the disappearance time of wheezing, wheezing and rales were significantly shorter than those of the salmeterol and montelukast sodium group(P<0.05); FEV1,FEV1/FVC,PEF were significantly higher than those of the salmeterol and montelukast sodium group (P<0.05); serum NO, ET levels were significantly lower than those of the salmeterol and montelukast sodium group(P<0.05), IFN-γ was significantly higher than that of the salmeterol and montelukast sodium group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of two drugs in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma is superior to the treatment of Shah Mette Lo or montelukast sodium, which can significantly improve the lung function of children. It may be related to the effective regulation of serum NO, ET and IFN- gamma levels.
