Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Flupentixol and melitracen combined with Xiaoyao Pill in the treatment of somatization symptoms. Methods: 98 cases of somatization symptoms in our hospital during the past 2 years were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 49 cases in each group. The observation group was given Flupentixol and melitracen tablets, 1 tablets each time, once in the morning. Xiaoyao pills, 8 pills each time, 3 times a day. The control group was given Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Capsules, 20mg, once a day. Treatment was observed for 8 weeks. The curative effect was evaluated by SSS scale at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment. Results: at the second weekend of the medication, the SSS score of the observation group and the control group had very significant difference (P<0.01). At the end of the 8 week treatment, the SSS scores of the 2 groups were significantly decreased, but there was still significant difference between the 2 groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: Flupentixol and melitracen combined with Xiaoyao Pill in the treatment of patients with somatization symptoms, has quick effect, good curative effect, adverse reaction and good compliance characteristics.
