| Bronchoalveolar Lavage in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Severe Pulmonary Infection with Atelectasis |

Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical effect of lung lavage by bronchofibroscope in the treatment of elderly severe pulmonary infection patients with atelectasis and explore the effective treatment measures. Method: 70 cases elderly severe pulmonary infection patients at the same time were selected and divided into control group and observation group. The control group was treated with conventional anti-inflammatory therapy and adjuvant therapy. The observation group was added with lung lavage by bronchofibroscope. Compared with the changes of blood gas index after one week's treatment, the clinical symptoms and related treatment experience time, the clinical curative effect and the sequelae after four weeks of discharge. Results: After one week treatment the blood gas index of observation group were significantly better than those of control group (P<0.05). The time of clinical symptoms disappearance and related treatment were significantly shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of clinical treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group (P< 0.05). The number of sequelae after discharge four weeks was significantly less than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: In treating elderly severe pulmonary infection patients with atelectasis, it should be actively added treatment of lung lavage by bronchofibroscope. And it could improve the clinical efficacy, promote the recovery of patients and reduce the sequelae after treatment.
