Abstract:Objective: To observe the morphological characteristics of pelvic diaphragm hiatus in late-pregnant women with constipation by transperineal three-dimensional ultrasonography. Methods: Primiparous singleton selected from July 2014 to June 2017 in our hospital for regular prenatal examination in late pregnancy, 140 cases of full-term pregnancy (pregnancy group), including 48 cases of constipation symptoms (constipation pregnant women), 92 cases without symptoms of constipation (constipation; non pregnant women) were selected without constipation nonparous health 100 women (control group). The size of levator ani muscle and the thickness of pubic rectal muscle were measured in 3 states: resting state, anal sphincter movement and Valsalva maneuver. Results: Loosen connective tissue was observed in some pregnant women in the late pregnancy group. The perimeter and area of pelvic diaphragm hiatus and pubovisceral muscle thickness were significantly increased than those in control group, at rest, on maximum pelvic floor contraction and maximum Valsalva respectively (P<0.05).And the perimeter and area of pelvic diaphragm hiatus in pregnant women with constipation were increased than those without constipation at three maneuvers,respectively(P<0.05).Pubovisceral muscle thickness in pregnant women with constipation was significantly thinner than those in pregnant women without constipation at maximum pelvic floor contraction(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between pregnant women with constipation and without constipation at rest and on maximum Valsalva in pubovisceral muscle thickness (P>0.05).Conclusion: Pelvic floor anatomic remodeling is identified in late pregnant women.Transperineal three-dimensional ultrasonography has great value for pelvic floor change in late pregnant women, especially pregnancy with constipation .
