Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effects of comprehensive nursing intervention on the degree of satisfaction to the nursing care and recovery of neurologic impairment symptoms in patients with acute cerebral apoplexy. Methods: A total of 100 eligible inpatients between January 2015 and July 2015 were selected, and divided into observation group and control group according to the admission numbers, with 50 patients in each group. The patients of the control group were given usual care, while the patients of the observation group given nursing intervention additionally, and the nerve function, viability, and degree of satisfaction to the nursing care were evaluated by China stroke scale (CSS), ADL evaluation form (Barthel index), and on-the-spot questionnaire, respectively. Results: Before the nursing cares, the patients of the two groups had similar CSS scores and Barthel index scores, and the differences were statistically insignificant (P>0.05); at the ends of 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks after the nursing cares, the observation group and control group both had decreased CSS scores and increased Barthel index scores, but the observation group had greater improving extents, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The observation group had significantly higher scores of health education, therapeutic nursing care, service attitude, and mental nursing (all P<0.05); the numbers of patients of the observation group who were very satisfied, satisfied, and dissatisfied to the nursing care, and the degree of satisfaction were 36, 11, 3, and 94.00%, respectively; while those of the patients of the control group were 19, 20, 11, and 78.00%, respectively; and the patients of the observation group had a significantly higher degree of satisfaction than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing intervention can promote the recovery of nerve function, improve the activity of daily living, and elevate the degree of satisfaction to the nursing care in patients with acute cerebral apoplexy, and consequently is worthy of clinical application.
