Abstract:Objective: To investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) LINC01503 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) and its role in promoting cancer progression. Methods: The expression level of LINC01503 in LSCC tissues and cells was detected by qRT-PCR, and its correlation with clinical parameters was analyzed. The effects of LINC01503 on the proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of LSCC cells were assessed using CCK-8 and colony formation assays, Transwell chamber migration and invasion assays, respectively. A nude mouse xenograft model was established to further validate the biological function of LINC01503 in promoting LSCC progression. Results: LINC01503 was upregulated in LSCC, and its expression level was associated with clinical stage, tumor differentiation grade, and lymph node metastasis in LSCC patients. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that overexpression of LINC01503 promoted the proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of LSCC cells and tumor growth in nude mice, while knockdown of LINC01503 expression led to the opposite effects. Conclusion: LINC01503 is upregulated in LSCC and acts as an oncogene to promote the progression of LSCC by enhancing cell proliferation, migration, and invasion.
