Abstract:Objective: To explore the curative effect of internal fixation (INFIX) and external fixator combined with sacroiliac screw on Tile type B fracture. Methods: A total of 88 patients with Tile type B fracture admitted to Orthopedics Department of the hospital were retrospectively analyzed between March 2019 and March 2022, including 47 cases treated with INFIX and sacroiliac screws in INFIX group and 41 cases treated with external fixator and sacroiliac screws in external fixator group. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, postoperative weight-bearing time, healing time, incidence of complications, scores of Matta and Majeed, and scores of EQ-5D and VAS at 1, 3 and 6 months after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results: The hospitalization time and healing time in INFIX group were shorter than those in external fixator group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that in external fixator group (P<0.05). At 6 months after surgery, good rate of Matta score in INFIX group was higher than that in external fixator group (95.74% vs 80.49%, P<0.05), and sex life score was higher than that in external fixator group (P<0.05). The differences in EQ-5D and VAS scores were statistically significant in different groups at different time points (P<0.0001). At 1 month and 3 months after surgery, EQ-5D score in INFIX group was higher than that in external fixator group, and VAS score was lower than that in external fixator group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The clinical curative effect of INFIX combined with sacroiliac screw is better on Tile type B fracture, with shorter recovery period. It is more conducive to early functional exercise, with low incidence of complications.
