Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of ovariectomy on aortic lipid metabolism in female hyperlipidemia rats. Methods: Healthy female SD rats were randomly divided into blank group,model group 1 ; model group 2,hyperlipidemia rat model was established in model group 1,and ovariectomized+ hyperlipidemia rat model was established in model group 2. After 8 weeks,the mRNA levels of CAV1,LDLR,VLDLR,ABCA1,ApoA1 and SRB1 were detected by real-time quantitative PCR,serum total cholesterol,triglyceride,low density lipoprotein cholesterol and high density lipoprotein cholesterol of rats were determined by Elisa. Results: Compared to the blank group,the TC、TG、LDL-C contents of model 1 and model 2 increased significantly (P<0.01),the HDL-C content decreased significantly (P<0.01),the TC,TG,LDL-C content of model 2 group was significantly higher than that of model 1 group (P<0.01),The HDL-C content was significantly less than that of model 1 group (P<0.01).Compared with the blank group,the mRNA relative expression of ABCA1,ApoA1,CAV1,SRB1,VLDLR,LDLR in model group 1 and model group 2 decreased significantly (P<0.01),and the expression in model group 2 was lower than that in model group 1(P<0.01). Conclusion: Ovariectomy leads to the decrease of estrogen and affects aortic lipid metabolism in female rats by ABCA1,ApoA1,CAV1,SRB1,VLDLR,LDLR mRNA,resulting in abnormal serum lipid content in rats.
