Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of fire needle, water needle combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities. Methods: From December 2018 to December 2019, 60 patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities who were admitted to the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and Traditional Chinese Medicine of our hospital were selected into the study, and the random data table method was used to complete the grouping. The control group and the observation group include 30 samples respectively. The control group received acupuncture treatment, and the observation group received fire acupuncture and water acupuncture combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction. The clinical benefit, VCSS score and long-term efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results: The clinical benefit of the observation group was 96.67%, which was significantly higher than 80% of the control group. After treatment, the VCSS score of the observation group was (2.01±0.98) points, which was significantly lower than the control group. After a 1-year follow-up, it was found that the recurrence rate of the control group was 20.00%, and the recurrence rate of the observation group was 0. With the testing result P<0.05, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: Fire needle, water needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine Buyang Huanwu Decoction has a definite clinical effect in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities. It can significantly improve the patient's VCSS score. The long-term effect is stable and the recurrence rate is low. It is worthy of promotion.
