Abstract:Objective: To analyze the effect of orthodontic micro-implant on MMP-2、MMP-9 and Bcl-2/Bax levels in patients with class II malocclusion. Methods: 110 patients admitted from January 2018 to December 2019 with class II malocclusion were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group had traditional orthodontic treatment, while the observation group had microimplant. The changes of MMP-2、MMP-9 and Bcl-2/Bax levels before and after treatment were observed, and the incidence of complications was different. Result: Repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that the differences of MMP-2 and MMP-9 between different groups and time points and the interaction between groups and time points were statistically significant (all P<0.05), and the increase of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the control group was significantly higher than that in the observation group (P<0.05); the repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that the difference of Bcl-2/Bax value between different groups and time points, and the interaction between groups and time points were statistically significant (all P<0.05), and the Bcl-2/Bax value in the control group was significantly lower than that in the observation group (P<0.05). The incidence rates of complications during treatment in the observation group were 5.45% and 18.18%, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The level of inflammatory factors caused by micro implants in orthodontic treatment of patients with class II malocclusion is lower than that of traditional orthodontic treatment, which is helpful to reduce the damage caused by orthodontic treatment to periodontal tissue, and the complications are less. So it is worth popularizing.
