Mechanisms of Long Non-coding RNA LINC01133 Promoting the Progression of Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Through Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transformation

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the expression level, functions, and regulatory mechanisms of long non-coding RNA LINC01133 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC).Methods: The relative expression levels of LINC01133 in 48 LSCC tissues were measured by qRT-PCR.And the associations between LINC01133 expression levels and clinic-pathological features were analyzed.After that, a series of in vitro assays were adopted to detect the effects of LINC01133 on cellular proliferation, migration, invasion ability and epithelial-mesenchymal transformation.Results: Compared to control groups, LINC01133 was highly expressed in LSCC tissues and cell lines (P<0.05).Correlation analyses showed that the expression levels of LINC01133 were associated with differentiation degree, clinical stage, and cervical lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).Besides, in vitro assays showed that LINC01133 could enhance the proliferation, migration, invasion ability and epithelial-mesenchymal transformation of LSCC cell lines.Conclusion: LINC01133 is highly expressed in LSCC tissues and cell lines, and related to the clinical stage, differentiation degree, and neck lymph node metastasis.And, LINC01133 could promote the malignant phenotype and epithelial-mesenchymal transformation of LSCC cells, which is of great significance in the occurrence and development of LSCC.
