Observation on the Effect of Intraoperative Recurrent Laryngeal |Nerve Exposure on Postoperative Complications |in 127 Patients Undergoing Thyroid Operation
Abstract:Objective: To observe the effect of recurrent laryngeal nerve exposure on postoperative complications in 127patients undergoing thyroid operation. Methods: 127 cases of patients who underwent thyroid operation in our hospital from September 2011 to September 2015 were selected and randomized into observation group and control group. 67 patients in the control group did not exposed the recurrent laryngeal nerve in operation while 60 cases in the observation group exposed the recurrent laryngeal nerve in operation. The operation time, intropaerative blood loss, length of hospital stay and other operation indexes and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The operation time of the observation group [(106.31±13.48) min] was significantly longer than that of the control group [(95.61±12.82) min] (P < 0.05); The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (4.47%) was lower than that in the control group (18.33%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The time of intraoperative exposure of recurrent laryngeal nerve in patients undergoing thyroid operation is relatively longer, but it can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and reduce the pain of patients. It is of application and promotion value in thyroid operation in the future.
