Abstract:Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with serum CA15-3 and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) for breast cancer. Methods: 80 patients with breast cancer admitted to the hospital from January 2018 to February 2019 were included in the breast cancer group. 50 patients with benign breast tumors were selected and included in the benign group, respectively. All patients underwent dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI. Serum CA15-3 and CEA levels were detected. The differences in serological indicators among groups and the value of the indicators alone or combined diagnosis for breast cancer were analyzed. Results: MRI findings of malignant breast lesions showed unclear boundaries with surrounding tissues, irregular margins or burrs, and inhomogeneous enhancement. Findings of benign breast lesions showed masses with clear boundaries with surrounding tissues and smooth edge, round or lobulated shape, and homogeneous enhancement of most lesions. Levels of CA15-3 and CEA in the breast cancer group were significantly higher than those in the benign group (P<0.05). For alone diagnosis, the diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of CEA were the lowest while diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of MRI were the highest. The diagnostic sensitivity of MRI combined with CA15-3 and CEA was significantly higher than that of MRI, serum CA15-3 or CEA alone (P<0.05), while the specificity was lower than the other three methods. Conclusion: Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI combined with serum CA15-3 and CEA can improve the diagnostic sensitivity of breast cancer, which is of value for the early diagnosis of breast cancer.
