Abstract:Objective: To investigate the prevalence of psychological disorders in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and analyze the influencing factors. Methods: 80 patients with SLE treated in our hospital during the period from February 2012 to April 2017 were selected as the subjects, and 80 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were also enrolled in the study. All subjects were evaluated with the symptom check list-90 (SCL-90), and the level of mental health was compared between the two groups. According to the results of SCL-90 screening, patients with SLE were divided into mental disorder group and no-mental disorder group. The clinical data such as age, gender, course of disease, recurrence frequency, disease activity, visceral involvement, adverse drug reactions, education level, occupation status, economic income, marital status and residence were compared between groups. Results: The total score of SCL-90 of patients with SLE was significantly higher than that of healthy volunteers [(154.29±28.51) vs (132.17±25.69) ](P < 0.05). In 80 patients with SLE, 29 patients had mental disorders detected by SCL-90, and the detection rate was 36.3% (29/80). The proportions of patients whose course of disease was longer than 6 months, patients with disease in active phase, patients with visceral involvement, patients with adverse drug reactions, patients whose education level was lower than high school, unemployed patients, patients whose income was less than 50 thousand yuan / year and unmarried or divorced patients in the mental disorders group were significantly higher than those in the non-mental disorder group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The risk of mental disorders is relatively higher in patients with SLE. The course of disease, disease activity, visceral involvement, adverse drug reactions, educational level, occupational status, economic income and marital status have significant effect on the occurrence of mental disorders in patients with SLE.
