Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effect of mobile management platform on TCM symptom score in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: 140 T2DM patients admitted into the endocrinology department of Tongzhou district Chinese Medicine Hospital of Beijing from January 2015 to May 2016 were selected, and they were randomly divided into two groups, 70 cases in each group. Control group was given routine blood glucose therapy; intervention group was given management in mobile management platform based on control group. The clinical efficacy of two groups were compared. The changes of TCM symptom scores before intervention and after intervention for 3 months were observed. Results: The total effective rate of intervention group was 92.86% (65/70), which was higher than 77.14% (54/70) of control group (P<0.05); The total effective rate of qi-yin deficiency in intervention group was higher than that in other differentiation (P<0.05); After intervention for 3 months, the TCM symptom score of intervention group was (10.84±2.32) points, which was lower than (15.97±3.95)points of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Mobile management platform in T2DM patients can decrease the TCM symptom score, control the level of blood glucose, help medical staff closely monitor blood glucose of patients, develop the management ability of medical staff.
