Abstract:Objective: To explore the relationship between the level of growth soluble ST2(sST2), NT-proBNP in peripheral blood and the recent clinical prognosis of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) . Methods: Serum sST2 levels were measured by ELISA in 160 patients with CPR immediately, 24 hours and 48~72 hours after CPR. The patients were divided into three groups according to the time of elevation of serum sST2. Group A: Serum sST2 levels were always lower than 200ug/L immediately after CPR, 24h, 48~72h, and group B: Serum sST2 levels were continuously elevated 24 hours, 48~72 hours after CPR and always higher than 200ug/L; group C: sST2 levels were continuously elevated 24 hours, 48~72 hours after CPR, but decreased 48~72 hours after CPR. Serum NT-proBNP levels were measured at each time point. The three groups were followed up for 6 months after CPR. Results: SST2 and NT-proBNP interact (P<0.05). The mortality of patients with high expression of sST2 (>200ug/L) and high expression of NT-proBNP (>400pg/ml) was higher than that of patients with low expression of sST2 and NT-proBNP (P<0.05). The mortality of group B was significantly higher than that of group A and group C (P<0.05), and the mortality of group A was lower than that of group C, but there was no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion: Combined detection of serum sST2 and NT-proBNP is expected to be a good indicator for predicting the short-term prognosis of patients with CPR.
