Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical effects of low-frequency pulse electrical stimulation combined with neostigmine on postpartum urinary retention. Methods: A total of 80 patients with postpartum urinary retention admitted from April 2016 to October 2021 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group by simple random method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group used neostigmine intramuscular injection to induce urination and pelvic floor muscle function exercise, and the study group combined low-frequency pulse electrical stimulation on the basis of the control group. Observe the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients, and compare the urinary status, grading of urinary retention and sexual function of the patients. Results: The total effective treatment rate in the observation group was 92.50%, which was significantly higher than 75.00% in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The first urination time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the residual urine volume was less than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The urination rate of the observation group (52.50%) was significantly higher than control group (17.50%) within 1 hour after treatment,. and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After 6 weeks of treatment, there was no urinary retention in the observation group (60.00%) , which was significantly higher than in the control group (30.00%),and the difference between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After 6 weeks of treatment, all sexual function scores were higher in the observation group than in the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant (p<0.05) Conclusion: The combination of low-frequency pulse electrical stimulation and neostigmine in the treatment of postpartum urinary retention can help patients to speed up urination, effectively improve the treatment rate of urinary retention, help restore urodynamic function, improve the sexual quality of life, and achieve good clinical effects.
