Abstract:Objective: To investigate the role of ACE2 and Collectrin in the development of hypertension by studying the expression of ACE2 and Collectrin in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). Methods: Rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: WKY group and SHR group. RT-PCR was used to detect the expression levels of ACE2 and Collectrin mRNA in rat kidney tissues, and Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of ACE2 and Collectrin protein in rat kidney tissues. Results: Compared with the WKY group of the same age, the blood pressure in the SHR group was significantly increased (P<0.01), and the expression of ACE2 mRNA and protein in the kidney tissue was significantly reduced (P<0.01); compared with the 24-week-old WKY group, Collectrin mRNA and Protein expression and significantly increased (P<0.01); Compared with the 12-week-old SHR group, the 24-week-old SHR group had a significant decrease in ACE2 mRNA and protein expression (P<0.01), and Collectrin mRNA and protein expression was significantly increased (P<0.01). Conclusion: The expression of ACE2 and Collectrin mRNA and protein in kidney tissue is related to the increase of blood pressure.
