Abstract:Objective: To analyze the influence of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 on menstrual cycle in patients with endometriosis. Methods: 113 patients with endometriosis admitted to our hospital from March 2017 to March 2020 were included in this study. Another 62 healthy women who came to our hospital for physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood were detected by ELISA. The levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood of patients with different menstrual cycles, different R-AFS stages and endometriosis were compared between the two groups, and the correlation between the levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood and R-AFS stages and menstrual cycle was analyzed. Results: The levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood of endometriosis group were significantly higher than those of control group in proliferative phase and secretory phase, and the levels of sFlt-1 in peripheral blood of endometriosis group were significantly lower than those of control group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), but the levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood of endometriosis group and control group had no significant changes in proliferative phase and secretory phase, and the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). The level of MMP-9 in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis increased with the increase of R-AFS stage, and the level of sFlt-1 in peripheral blood decreased with the increase of R-AFS stage (P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between MMP-9 and sFlt-1 (P<0.05), a positive correlation between MMP-9 and R-AFS stage (P<0.05), and a negative correlation between sFlt-1 and R-AFS stage (P<0.05), but there was no correlation between MMP-9 and sFlt-1 and menstrual cycle (P>0.05). Conclusion: The levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis are significantly higher than those of patients with endometriosis. The levels of MMP-9 and sFlt-1 are significantly correlated with the progress of endometriosis, but not with the menstrual cycle.
