Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effects of sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam or Lamotrigine in the treatment of epilepsy on eeg. Methods: A total of 384 epileptic patients admitted to our hospital from July 2014 to March 2020 were selected. According to the random number table, the patients were randomly divided into control group, study group 1 and study Group 2,each of 128 cases. The control group was treated with sodium valproate, the study group 1 was treated with sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam, and the study group 2 was treated with sodium valproate combined with lamotrigine. The differences of attack control rate, eeg efficacy and cognitive function among the three groups were observed. Results: In terms of seizure control, its rates of study group 1 and 2 after treatment were significantly higher than that of control group, and the differences between groups and time points were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate of study group 1 and study group 2 was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in P300 incubation period and MoCA scores among the three groups (P>0.05); after treatment, the P300 incubation period and MoCA scores of study group 1 and study group 2 were higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Valproate combined with levetiracetam or lamotrigine in the treatment of epilepsy has a good effect in effectively controlling seizures, reducing electrical discharge, improving eeg background, improving cognitive function. The combination drug should be selected reasonably according to the specific situation of the patients.
