Abstract:Objective: To analyze the effect of modified minimally invasive funnel chest correction (Nuss) in the treatment of children's funnel chest and the factors that lead to postoperative complications. Methods: From February 2016 to February 2018, 90 children undergoing Nuss operation in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. the results were observed and divided into groups according to whether the complications occurred after operation. The general data of patients were analyzed by univariate analysis. The statistically significant indexes were included in multivariate Logistic regression, and the independent risk factors leading to complications were analyzed. Results: The operation was successfully completed in 90 cases. A total of 21 cases had postoperative complications, but after corresponding treatment, there was no serious problem when they were discharged from hospital. All the children were followed up. During the follow-up period, there was no obvious discomfort and no plate displacement occurred. Univariate analysis showed that age, the symmetry of funnel chest, the number of plates inserted and the time of operation were the influencing factors of complications, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression showed that the operation time was too long, asymmetric funnel chest and the number of plates placed was an independent risk factor for complications, and the difference was statistically significant. Learning significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Nuss operation has a good effect on the treatment of pectus excavatum in children. The long operation time, asymmetric pectus excavatum and the number of plates placed are independent risk factors for postoperative complications. In clinical practice, high attention should be paid to this type of children to prevent serious complications caused by the above factors.
