Abstract:Objective: To investigate the changes of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs CRP) and ESR in patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis and their relationship with prognosis. Methods: The clinical data of 79 patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis treated in our hospital from May 2018 to may 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the sputum smear and sputum culture results after 4 months of anti tuberculosis treatment, they were divided into negative group (62 cases) and positive group (17 cases). The levels of hs-CRP and ESR in the two groups were detected, and the relationship between the levels of hs-CRP and ESR and the prognosis of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in hs-CRP and ESR between the two groups (Pall>0.05). After treatment, the levels of hs-CRP and ESR in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), and the levels of hs-CRP and ESR in the negative group were lower than those in the positive group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum hs-CRP and ESR levels were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with active tuberculosis (P<0.01). Conclusions:The changes of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and ESR have a certain relationship with the prognosis of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis. Dynamic monitoring of the changes of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and ESR has a guiding significance for evaluating the prognosis of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis.
