Application of Self-management Nursing Intervention in Improving Self-care Level and Self-efficacy of Postoperative Patients with Lung Cancer after Chemotherapy

Abstract:Objective: To explore the application of self-management nursing intervention in improving the level of self-care and self-efficacy of patients with lung cancer after operation. Methods: In our hospital from June 2015 to June 2017, 98 cases of lung cancer patients receivied chemotherapy after surgery, were randomly divided into control group and study group with 49 cases in each group, the control group of all lung cancer patients receiving chemotherapy after surgery were treated with routine nursing, the study group with the self management of nursing intervention based on routine nursing care, and by measuring the self-care ability scale and the quality of life scale, general self-efficacy scale and short fatigue scale to evaluate the nursing effect of two groups. Results: The self-concept, health knowledge, self-responsibility and self-efficacy of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.01). According to the results of short fatigue scale, the fatigue score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.001). According to the results of the quality of life measurement, the study group was significantly higher than the control group in the aspects of environmental factors, physiological factors, social factors, psychological factors and quality of life (P<0.001). Conclusion: Self-management nursing intervention is of great significance in improving the level of self-care and self-efficacy of patients with lung cancer after chemotherapy, and it can reduce the fatigue degree of postoperative patients with chemotherapy and improve their quality of life.
