Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical effect of recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor (rbFGF) combined with negative pressure drainage on wound healing in patients with second degree burn. Methods: A total of 64 patients with grade Ⅱ burn from April 2016 to April 2017 in our hospital were selected for study. According to patients with different treatment methods they were divided into observation group and control group, 32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with negative pressure drainage and the observation group was treated with rbFGF and negative pressure drainage. The clinical effects of wound healing in both groups were compared. Results: The growth of superficial second-degree burns granulation in the observation group was significantly faster than that in the control group (P <0.05). The total wound granulation growth in the observation group was better than that in the control group (P <0.05). The residual wound area, wound healing time and hospital stay in the observation group were less than those in the control group after treatment (P <0.05). After 3 months of healing, a follow-up survey was conducted. All the burn wounds healed in both groups, leaving scar of different degree. Scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusions: Recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor combined with negative pressure drainage is an ideal treatment for wound healing in patients with second degree burn.
