Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of PKP at different time on osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Methods: 60 patients of osteoporosis vertebral compression fracture treated by PKP within 3 weeks after injury, another parallel 60 patients were treated by beyond 3 weeks. VAS score, ODI score, kyphotic angle and C7/SFD were recorded before and afer treatment. Results: There were no obvious difference of improvement of VAS and ODI between two groups, improvement of kyphotic angle and C7/SFD of group A were better than those of group B after treatment. Conclusions: PKP at different time can both improve symptoms and enhance the quality of life quickly; the earlier treatment, the more advantage in correcting the local fracture deformities.
