Abstract:Objective: To investigate the relationship between thyroid function and 25-hydroxyvitamin D in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients. Methods: Totally 90 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes treated in our hospital from February 2016 to February 2017. were divided into normal group [25 (OH) D≥30ng/ml] [30ng/mL≤25 (OH) D<30ng/mL], deficient group 10ng/mL≤5 (OH) D<20ng/mL and serious deficient group <10ng/mL, compared with the serum levels of vitamin D and thyroid function correlation. Results: The levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and glycosylate hemoglomin (HbA1c) increased gradually with the decrease of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the newly diagnosed patients with elderly type 2 diabetes. The difference between the four groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that PTH and calcium were positively correlated with 25 (OH) D levels, whereas HbA1c, TSH, and age and 25-hydroxyvitamin D in serum were significantly negative Related (P <0.05). Conclusions: HbA1c, TSH, and age are influence 5 of 25-OH(D) deficiency in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients.
