Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the nurse-based, with anesthesiologist andspecialist-supervised acute pain management model (NABSS-APS)on the postoperative pain, anxiety or depression, clinical prognosis and the nursing satisfaction in the cataract Patient. Methods: Totally 124 cataract patients were randomly divided into observation group (n=62) and control group (n=62). The observation group was given with the NABSS-APS while the control group was given traditional acute pain service. The postoperative pain was evaluated by the visual analog scale (VAS).The anxiety or depression emotions were assessed by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) or Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS). The vision value and complication after the operation were tested to observe the clinical prognosis and the nursing satisfaction were tested by the questionnaire. Results: The pain of the observation group was significantly decreased when compared the control group (P<0.05) while the anxiety and depression of the observation group were significantly alleviated as compared with the control group (P<0.05). Besides, the vision value was improved as well as the complication was decreased in the observation group which were different with the control group (P<0.05). And the nursing satisfactions in the observation group were improved significantly between with the control group. Conclusion: The NBASS-APS could alleviate the postoperative pain and further to relieve the anxiety and depression symptom which reduce the complication, improve the clinical prognosis and nursing satisfaction.
