Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical application value of MRI and spiral CT in the preoperative staging diagnosis of rectal cancer, and to provide the effective basis for the clinical assessment of rectal cancer. Methods: 50 patients with rectal cancer treated in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 were selected. The T staging clinical examination rate, lymph node diagnosis accuracy and internal organ structure lesions of the two groups were observed. Results: Compared with the statistics of T staging clinical examination rate of the two groups, the overall accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of preoperative T staging of rectal cancer was significantly higher than that of spiral CT (T=3.07, P=0.01). The overall accuracy of MRI in diagnosis of lymph node lesions in preoperative t-staging of rectal cancer was significantly better than that of spiral CT(T=3.46, P=0.03). Conclusion: For preoperative staging and lymph node diagnosis of rectal cancer, MRI scan has a rapid, effective, high resolution and good specificity of clinical results. And it has a high clinical value.
