Abstract:Objective: To investigate the application method and effect of task-based learning in medical English teaching. Method: On the basis of literature review, TBL was applied to medical English teaching, and experience was summarized. Result: We abided by five basic principles, such as real feasible task, learning by participating, combination of function and form, stimulating students' interest and the continuity of the task. Based on the peculiarities of clinical medical English teaching, TBL enriched the teaching forms, inspired the students' interest and motivation for autonomous learning, which was widely accepted by the students. Conclusion: TBL in medical English teaching is effective and worthy of popularization
