Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Neurotropin and spleen aminopeptide oral lyophilized powder in the treatment of herpes zoster. Methods: 60 patients with herpes zoster at early stage were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group were given acyclovir for a 0.25 g intravenous drip every 8 hours and cobamamide needle for 1.0 mg intramuscular injection everyday. On the basis of the treatment in the control group, treatment group were given Neurotropin 3.6IU on an intravenousdrip and spleen peptide oral lyophilized powder producing 2 mg by oral a day, the treatment course was 10 days. The pain degree of the patients was assessed by the methods of visual analogue scale (VAS), The sleep quality of the patients was determined by the methods of sleep quality score (QS), VAS and QS score changes the two groups before and after treatment were compared, the improved effect of neuralgia was observed. Results: VAS score of the two groups all significantly decreased before and after the treatment, QS score increased significantly, the difference was statistical significant (P < 0.05). VAS score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, while QS score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). Conclusion: The application of Neurotropin injection combined with spleen peptide on the treatment of herpes zoster at early stage can effectively improve the symptom of neuralgia patients , then consequently improve the life quality of patients.
