Abstract:Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy of the new root canal filling medium in the treatment of root canal disease and the effect on the level of CypA and RANKL in the lesion area. Methods: 120 cases of pulpitis and periapical periodontitis in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2016 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 60 cases in each group, the patients in observation group were treated with gutta percha and epoxy paste intervention, while the patients in control group were treated by using gutta percha and calcium hydroxide paste filling; 8 weeks after the treatment, the clinical efficacy and pain of patients were evaluated; during the treatment and 8 weeks after the treatment, the periodontal tissue was taken to make biopsy samples, the level of CypA and RANKL in tissue sections were examined by using immunohistochemical staining method. Results: The clinical efficacy of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); after the treatment, the ratio of the number of the patients with severe pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), the ratio of the number of the patients with no pain was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); after the treatment, the level of CypA and RANKL in the two groups were all significantly lower (P<0.05), after the treatment, the level of CypA and RANKL in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion: The new root canal filling medium can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of the treatment of root canal disease, and can reduce the level of CypA and RANKL in the lesion area, which is conducive to the rehabilitation of patients.
