Abstract:Objective: To study the correlation between hyperhomocysteinemia (Hhcy) and acute cerebral infarction and to explore the relationship between hcy level and acute cerebral infarction. methods: 96 patients with acute cerebral infarction and 90 normal healthy subjects were selected as objects. The levels of hcy were comparatively analyzed. Results: The serum hcy level of patients with acute cerebral infarction(23.56±4.65) μmoL/L was significantly higher than that of the healthy group(11.28±2.19) μmoL/L; The Hhcy patient number of the acute cerebral infarction group was 46, and its proportion was 47.9%, while the Hhcy patient number was 10 of the healthy group and its proportion was 11.1%, that has a significant difference (P <0.05). Conclusion: The Hhcy may be one of independent risk factor in acute cerebral infarction; the hcy level and the incidence of Hhcy of patients with acute cerebral infarction are significantly higher than normal people.
